Visible / RGB Collimated Laser Head
LZRGB-520-Collimated
520 nm green, CW 1 - 1.5 W per emitter / 13.5 W bank
520 nm green collimated laser head, supplied either as a single emitter or as a multi-emitter bank with integrated collimation. The bank option trades a small amount of divergence for a large amount of power, which is what makes it usable in projection and high-brightness illumination.
Estimated range
Range estimates apply to pulsed transmitter parts. This device is specified by its own parameters above.
Every parameter on this page is transcribed from the manufacturer datasheet.
520 nm green laser diode multi-source summary specification V5.0

|---|---|
| Wavelength range | 510 - 532 nm |
| Rated output | CW 1 - 1.5 W per emitter / 13.5 W bank |
| Operating mode | CW |
| Package | TO9 / TO90 / LD bank |
| Beam | Collimated; square or line spot after shaping |
| Operating case temperature | 0 to +60 |
| Qualified sources | 3 - Sharp, HiLaser, Nichia |
| Spread across sources | Peak wavelength 510 - 532 nm across sources; threshold 0.10 - 0.32 A; operating current 1.4 - 2.0 A at the rated output. |
| Lifetime | MTTF > 2000 h at Tc = 60 °C and Iop = 1.8 A (GH05C01B9G); 10000 h typical, 20000 h reference, at 50 % for the HiLaser and Nichia parts. |
Key features
- CW 1 W to 1.5 W from a single emitter; the Nichia bank reaches 13.5 W from 8+ emitters at 1.65 W each
- Threshold current 0.10 - 0.32 A, operating current 1.4 - 2.3 A depending on the source
- Operating voltage 4.8 - 6.5 V, the highest of the three colours, so the driver has to be a step-up rather than a linear pass
- Collimated bank output is specified at 0.2 - 0.6° parallel and ±1.0° perpendicular, with pointing deviation <= 0.7°
- Multi transverse mode, so the raw beam is not Gaussian and cannot be corrected to a diffraction-limited spot
